Shrubby St. John’s-wort
A compact, mounded deciduous shrub with prolific bright-yellow blooms in summer that are a favorite of bumblebees. The large number of stamens appear as a puff in the center of the flower head. The red-purple bark of older stems exfoliates to reveal attractive, pale-orange inner bark.
Average soil, sun, 1-4’ tall.
